The Return of Tag Post

I was browsing through my old blog and noticed that back then in year 2006, tag posts were very popular but it sorta die already these days; OR maybe it's still tagged around just that I don't get tag anymore? T______T

Anyway, just to bring back the tagging tradition and also because Fengy commented on my facebook post saying no one tags him. So, I thought, well why not. Just for fun maa... Reposting and retagging the post taken from here.

Originally, the name of the tag is "Fantastic Four". Back then, Yours Truly is a very English-Editor person, who loves to edit words used or more like personalising words/phrases. So, I renamed the "Fantastic Four" to "Fun-Tags-Tick Four" even though it doesn't make much sense.*LOL* and I even edited the Fantastic Four poster to something like this:

Anyway, here's the "Fun-Tags-Tick Four":

Facebook Friend Requests

For the past hour I've been filtering friend requests from 538, now down to 463 requests. I'm kinda tired of filtering already. Had to audit the fella, if I know him/her through mutual friends, pichas, profile and etc..  If they are people I know, I'm more than happy to accept. HOWEVER, THESE ARE JUST RANDOM PEOPLE ADDING YOU ON FACEBOOK. Walau! Are we having the "who has the most friends on Facebook?" contest?
Please lah people.. Just add people who you really know and not friend-shopping from your friends/cousins/sisters/brothers/girlfriend/boyfriend/etc's friend list.

Seriously, how often do you get such random friend requests? And how do you deal with them? Do you just accept or ignore them?

A Gift From A Stranger

Last Saturday, after the Roxy Pink Tour at Pavilion KL. Y and I went to Fahrenheit 88. Just to check out the new mall. It's still very new as there were still lotsa vacant shops coming in soon. For some reason, it felt like The Hills Shopping Mall in Kuching.

We planned to tour the new mall level by level. At the first floor, we went into this crystal and rock shop. There was a man, a foreigner who claims that he's from Africa or somewhere there, called Ecuador something like that. Anyway, I'm pretty sure he's Spanish. He was shopping for stones in hoping for love luck. *raises eyebrow*

Long story cut short, when we were there, he kept wanting to talk to us, well mostly to Y. Asked Y a lot of questions and offered to buy her a stone ring. My guess (my instinct never go wrong one) is he likes Y. Hahaha.. Want to act charming by asking Y to pick a stone ring she likes from the tray. Y resisted at first because since young we were taught not to talk to strangers, what more to say receive a gift from a stranger! I think the man wanted to make her not feel paiseh and also since I'm there, he probably just don't want me feeling left out, he also asked me to pick one of the ring also. Told him it's ok, I don't wear ring. But he kept insisting. Aiya.. Since the ring is only RM3, I am not paiseh one, I just picked a stone ring and find the right size. He happy, we happy, then can leave the shop fast fast, right?

But then, we stayed back for about 10 minutes or so, to entertain the fella talk about his training in Malaysia. =______________=|||| I just want to get out of the shop and proceed our lil tour in the shopping mall leh.

Anyway, thanks to Mr. Ecuadorian/African/I Think You're Spanish for the hematite stone ring.

20.10.2010

...happens once in a lifetime.

It is just like any day, but with beautiful figures.

It is just like any day, but with additional combo of  stupidity and carelessness and not to mention, ultimate noobness.

It is a day that I knew would happen, never hope for it to happen, but it did happen.

It is a day that awaken my robotness back to human form, to be more conscious and alert, and not take things so lightly..

Well, Malaysians are just so complacent. =/ Even starting the car, driving, parking, get out of the car and locking the car is so remote that one didn't even realised the car key is still in the car when it was locked.

Yea, that complacent-stupid-careless-noob Malaysian was me.

And best of all, the first thing I did was tweet about it. Many replied to it. Most of them were worried about me, gave suggestions, offered help and there was one who asked if I have a steel ruler with me at the moment. LOL

Now, to think about it, social media do play an important and influential part of my life. I freaking tweet about being locked out of the car, instead of calling for help!

Anyway, 20.10.2010 is a day that I almost break into my own car by attempting to open the window by using palms to pull the window down. Noob kan?

I bet it happened to almost every one of us (since it happened to me). Locked out once is enough to remember for the whole life!

I was given two choices: Go home (had to wait till my aunt reach home then can go inside the house since house keys were in the car) and
  1. get my car the next morning; OR
  2. take a cab to get my car immediately when I get the spare key.
I had really bad feeling about leaving my car staying overnight there.......who knows what might happened to it! Plus, if I were to go get my car via cab (because I don't want to trouble others), God knows what might happened.

No offence, but taking cab at night is just not cool! It is like a nightmare. I just don't feel safe to even  walk around in my own country at night! How crazy is that? All thanks to the emerging rising crime rates in the country. =x I'm just saying only lah.........After the 20.10.2010 incident, we shouldn't take anything too lightly now, should we?
Thank God for friends.

Thanks to JJ for sending me back, thanks to ahlost for her concern (even though she's all the way in Kuching, she still worries and broadcasted about my "almost take taxi to get car") *LOL*, thanks to Forrest for the ride to get my car, thanks to ZZT for kolo mee all the way from Kuching, and thanks to them all for accompanying me till I reached home. Appreciate everything they did and very Sorry for all the troubles... huhuhuhu..
A friend in need is a friend in deed. Friends are easy to make, but true friends are hard to find.
If it weren't for them, I would have taken the cab home to get the spare key and back to the place to get my car and God knows if I'm ever be home again. Couldn't thank them enough :))))))

So, how was your 20.10.2010?

hooHA 10!10!10! Fun Run

Yesterday, I was having a KL City Tour on foot! It was a nice jog and walk around 4.1km (as calculated by Shirley on wikimapia). =/

Anyway, the day before yesterday, I went to collect the race kit right after my class. Took a ride from Pasar Seni station to Hang Tuah station. From the station, I had to walk for approximately 600 meters to Wisma OCM for the collection. It was a 5 minutes walk and along the walk, I cuss the sun for being so HAPPY (sunny and bright).
Finally arrived.
Got in the collection hall and got my shirt and goodie bag "ticket". The process was less than 20 seconds, as there was no queue, as many participants collected their race kit early in the morning.

So, my rant is.....it took a lot of effort to the collection point BUT the collection took less than 20 seconds! It's like waiting for more than half an hour to an hour or longer just for your appointment with the doctor, BUT the consultation was less than 5 minutes! Geddit? If not, never mind lah.. I'm just saying only...

After I got my Orange Tee, I went to Berjaya Times Square to meet up with Frankie who is KL for work training. He was there with Calvin and Rames. They planned to watch Eat. Pray. Love and I had a dinner to attend to, but in the end cancelled dinner because I wanted to watch the movie badly (been wanting to watch it since it was on screen).

Eat. Pray. Love. movie tix
The movie was great. Humorous and inspirational. Very enlightening as well. I love the Eat part of the movie. hahaha.. After watching the movie, I want to go to Italy! For the food, wine, architecture, history and scenery. Plus, I love their language, well, French is still the first language I want to learn.

On 101010 (10 October, 2010), JJ called me as early as 5.26am! The night before, I set the alarm to ring at 4.30am. When it rang, I switched it off and went back to sleep. Thanks to JJ for the morning call, otherwise.......GG. Also thanks for the carpool :D
Parked opposite Sakura Restaurant & walked to Lot10
We arrived very early at the venue, Lot 10. Currently, the Nike run just started and the hooHA! fun run starts after their run.
*sulking*
Initially, both Yien and I planned to join the NikeMY 10!10!10! run, unfortunately something came up and when I wanted to register for the run, the registration was full already. T__________T

Watching Nike runners pass by
So striking their shirt
the hooHA! runners cheering and at the same time envy their shirt. LOL
Notti clown was around to keep us entertained :)

Despite the fact that the registration for Nike run was full already, I registered for the hooHA 10!10!10! instead since Forrest, JJ, Kelson, Rachel and Shirley were joining the fun run on the very same day as the Nike run.
From left to right: Shirley, JJ, Kelson, Rachel, *missing Forrest* and me
Orange shirt
Most of us wore the orange tee while JJ was the only one among us 6 who wore the blue shirt. lol.. Very minority.
JJ's blue shirt with Rachel & Shirley covering his tits with their hands lol
Before the run began, the emcee made us do Mexican wave from the front to the back for a few times. It was fun. Then, the emcee counted from 1 to 10 for the run to begin. With God's grace and blessing, even the traffic lights turn green to commemorate the begin of the run!

Green lights = GO!
Too crowded to run o.O!!
Signage to keep the runners from being lost

The sweet couple with Forrest's nephew

Drink station packed with humans!
This hooHA 10!10!10! fun run is like a KL City Tour on foot for me...

Great! So much for "fresh air"

Skaters taking a break
Reaching Pavilion. Daddy's lil girl is lucky!

Someone completed the run and having a great time sunbathing on the not so green grass

The finishing line
Reached the finishing line in less than 40 minutes. o.O!! Such a short run!
Cereals for breakfast after the run

Milo Station

This Milo station has the longest queue! Everyone wants to have a drip of it! Including us :P
Smart way! Who would have thought the chair is only for our butt!
Finishing Medal
After the finishing line, I went to claim for my goodie bag and there's the finisher's medal inside. So nice! Didn't expect to get the finisher medal, plus it's GOLD! I'm a champion. lalalalallaa...

There are more pichas taken with Rachel's camera. Teeheehee.. Prolly will add in more pichas when she and Forrest uploads them on Facebook. :D
Sunbathing while waiting for food & drinks
We went to Restoran Win Heng Seng for breakfast after our run. It's just across the road from where we parked. Kelson said the place is famous for its "Chu Yok Fun" (Pork Noodles). The place was crowded with runners from both Nike and hooHA run. lol.. Anyway, we secured a table which was outside the shop and the sun was starting to reveal itself from the cottons of clouds! BBQ!!

Of course there's a food review of the Chu Yok Fun. Stay tuned for it @ Dine with Annna.
